Dave has over 25 years of private equity accounting, legal, and operations experience. He is responsible for the daily operations of the firm’s investment funds, including transaction facilitation, financial and tax reporting, cash and treasury management, and investor reporting. He routinely assists the investment teams with acquisition and exit transactions and has served on the board of directors for several of the firm’s holding and portfolio companies. Dave believes the firm is strong because it is built on a foundation of trust and respect across an excellent, experienced team.
Prior to joining Hicks, Muse, Tate and Furst in 1995, Dave was employed by a major international accounting and consulting firm where he served as a tax manager in the corporate finance and real estate services groups.
He received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Illinois, is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant, a member of the Texas Society and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and currently serves on the board of the Dallas Chapter of the Private Equity CFO Association. In 2013, Dave was named CFO of the Year – Investments and Banking by the Dallas Business Journal. In 2017, Dave was named Outstanding CFO – Midsize Company by D CEO magazine.
Dave and his wife are supporters of the University of Illinois Foundation, Sterling Schools Foundation, Lakehill Preparatory School, University of Illinois Marching Illini, Allerton Park and the North Texas Food Bank. Dave is the father of a daughter and son.
