David Gassko is a principal at Kainos leading the evaluation, execution and management of investment opportunities in the food and consumer products sectors. David appreciates the deep industry experience of the Kainos team and the operational value-add that the firm can offer to its portfolio companies. He loves learning from entrepreneurial managers and working closely with them to help take their businesses to the next level.
David first joined Kainos in 2013 as an associate and rejoined the firm in 2018. Prior to joining Kainos, David began his career as an investment banker with Wells Fargo Securities.
He holds an MBA from The Wharton School where he graduated with honors, and a B.A. in Economics and English, cum laude with honors, from Rice University.
David loves good food (in another life, he’d be a restaurant critic), travel (he’s been to over 40 countries), and baseball (he used to consult for MLB teams). He is also highly involved with his alma mater through the Rice Volunteers for Admission, Rice Annual Fund, and Rice DFW Alumni organizations.
