Ryan Horstman

Ryan has over 20 years of private equity, accounting, legal, and operations experience. He is responsible for the daily operations of the firm’s investment funds, including transaction facilitation, financial and tax reporting, cash and treasury management, investor reporting, and assisting the investment teams with acquisition and exit transactions.

Prior to joining Kainos in 2025, Ryan was CFO and Chief Compliance Officer for Vortus Investments, a Fort Worth based private equity fund focused on the middle market upstream energy industry. From 2018 to 2023, Ryan served as the CFO and CCO for Trinity Hunt Partners, a middle market private equity fund based in Dallas. Previously, he spent five years as CFO and CCO of Kildare Partners, a real estate private equity firm, and eight years with TPG, a global private investment firm, as Senior Director of Accounting and FInance. Ryan began his career with KPMG where he focused on clients in the alternative asset management industry.

Ryan graduated from Texas Christian University, where he received a BBA in Accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
